Located in Saitama, Higashimatsuyama House was designed for a couple whose families lived on the site for generations for over 300 years.I attempt to keep and pass on the family memory in the buildings to the new space. In order to make the existing building, the garden, the surrounding nature and the new extension section as one piece, we fixed and added the structure based on each buildings condition with using the common material between the existing and the extension section. Despite all the different structures, it became “one house” like they are holding hands with each other
